Second Half “DSANJ Bio Conference” FY2025

Call for Submissions by Researchers

The Drug Seeds Alliance Network Japan (DSANJ) invites researchers from universities, research institutions, and startups to submit drug discovery research outcomes and platform technologies for DSANJ Bio Conference FY2025. Those selected for the meetings by pharma companies and venture capital(VC) will get the opportunity to present their drug discovery seeds to them seeking partnering. DSANJ is a program aimed at matching state-of-the-art research with interested pharma companies and VC.

The DSANJ Admin Office arranges 40-minute one-on-one Zoom meetings between research entities and pharma companies and VC to explore the possibility of partnering.

Accordingly, slots will be allotted in order of the research entities that receive the most meetings requests from participating pharma companies and VC.

Applications to participate in DSANJ Bio Conference FY2025 is accepted until November 20, 2025.

This is an invaluable opportunity to meet and forge partnerships with pharma companies and VC (we predict around 40 companies will participate). If you are looking to accelerate your research progress and its deployment in practical applications, we invite you to submit your entry for consideration in the DSANJ Bio Conference FY2025.

Second Half “DSANJ Bio Conference” FY2025: Overview

Purpose Promoting joint research, technology transfer and investment in drug discovery
Schedule 10:00–18:00 (JST) on Jan. 28, 29, 30; Feb. 2, 3, 2026
Location Meetings will be held online via Zoom—participate from wherever is convenient for you: your lab, conference room, home, etc.
  • NB: You will be able to access (test) the Zoom session prior to the meeting date to ensure you are able to access from your location.
Participants Approx. 100 researchers from universities, research institutions, startups, etc.
Approx. 40 pharma companies and VC
Fee Participation is free of charge, including in the event of a successful collaboration.

Application Requirements

Notes of application
  1. Make sure that your proposal materials do not include confidential information. The DSANJ Bio Conference FY2025 organizing and operations bodies will not treat as confidential any information received for the conference.
  2. Each researcher is limited to one proposal. If you would like to submit more than one proposal, please have another person (e.g., a co-researcher or someone else in your research group) present it.

  • If you are unlikely to be able to submit your application in time due to, for instance, coordination issues with co-researchers, contact the DSANJ Admin Office (as directed below) in advance and we will try to accommodate your application.

  • Categories

    Drug targets; drug seeds (substances); platform technologies for drug discovery; biomarkers; diagnostic drugs and technologies; digital therapeutics; medical devices for use combination with drugs, etc. (i.e., excluding devices designed for use on their own)

  • Modalities

    Low-molecular drugs, antibody drugs, oligonucleotide therapeutics, gene therapy, recombinant protein, cell therapy, AI-powered drug discovery, vaccines, viruses, regenerative medicine, SaMD (treatment apps), digital healthcare, protein-protein interaction inhibitors, etc.

  • Target Disorders

    Metabolic disorders, circulatory disorders, infectious disorders, respiratory disorders, musculoskeletal disorders, cancer and malignant neoplasms, central nervous system disorders, pain, sensory organ disorders, immune system and inflammatory disorders, allergies, skin disorders, digestive and urinary disorders, ob-gyn disorders, rare disorders, etc.

    Basic research; non-clinical POC pending; non-clinical POC obtained, clinical trials pending; clinical trials underway, etc.

    The DSANJ Admin Office will send you an email with the “[Application Completed] DSANJ Registration Form”. If you do not receive an email from us, please contact us to check the status of your entry.

Read before preparing proposal materials

  • Preparing your proposal materials in accordance with the guidelines increases your chances of attracting pharma companies and VC attention.
  • For optimal uploading and downloading of images, keep your images within around 20MB. (We may resize your images if they are too large.)

Note that your materials will still be shared with participating companies even if you don’t get a meeting request at DSANJ Bio Conference FY2025.
Notice of meeting schedules We will notify whether pharma companies and VC have requested meetings with you around December 26, 2025. If you get meeting requests, we will also inform you of the number and schedules.
